about chez fifi

Nestled in a charming Upper East Side townhouse, Chez Fifi, a bi-level French bistro, invites guests into a refined yet inviting atmosphere, with the full menu bistro on the street level, and an upstairs salon featuring a smaller, sweet and savory nibbles menu; classic and innovative cocktails, a martini menu, French and Iberian wines by the glass and a sprawling list of spirits sourced from around the globe.

Executive Chef Zack Zeidman has crafted a menu that riffs on French and Basque classics. The offerings blend French finesse with a nod to the coast of northern Spain, with Txangurro, Deviled Crab baked San Sebastian style, delicate Spanish red prawn tartare scattered with breadcrumbs accompanied with rich Hollandaise and Kaluga caviar, Basque-style Clam Risotto, and more.

Among entrées, guests can savor the comforting warmth of flawless Roast Chicken finished with morels and vin jaune, a buttery Filet Au Poivre, aged Holstein Ribeye Côte de Boeuf, or a perfectly grilled Dover Sole. Pommes Fifi stand out among the sides, offering a twice-fried in duck fat, garlic laden indulgence. The dessert menu celebrates iconic classics including a decadent Mousse au Chocolat with chantilly cream, and Baba au Rhum accompanied by poached pear and crème diplomat.

The beverage program, curated by Master Mixologist Yumi Nemoto, features a dedicated martini menu with updated and innovative variants including an Umami-packed “Blue Cheese” with Roquefort-washed vodka, sake and olive brine, and a refreshingly complex “Tomato” featuring tomato liqueur, tomato water with rosemary and basil oil.
